IPL announced 114 foreign players for IPL 2009 second edition.
- Number of Players from Australia for Indian Premier League 2009 - 27
- Number of Players from Bangladesh for Indian Premier League 2009 - 15
- Number of Players from England for Indian Premier League 2009 - 21
- Number of Players from New Zealand for Indian Premier League 2009 - 9
- Number of Players from Pakistan for Indian Premier League 2009 - 5
- Number of Players from South Africa for Indian Premier League 2009 - 13
- Number of Players from Sri Lanka for Indian Premier League 2009 - 15
- Number of Players from West Indies for Indian Premier League 2009 - 8
- Number of Players from Zimbabwe for Indian Premier League 2009 - 1
Depending the 14 league matches only the prices for foriegn players selected for IPL 2009 are decided.
If the players play 10 league matches out of 14 they get price money depending on the ratio. If they play 7 league matches get half of teh payment.
