England won by 319 runs


2nd test between India and England starts from 29th July 2011 to 2nd Aug 2011 at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. After a huge defeat in 1st test Indians would like to bounce back in the second test were on other side England will be playing the 2nd test with high confident and if they win this match the chances of becoming the number 1 test team will increases.

Indians will go into second test without their main pace attack bowler Zaheer khan, due to his injury he has been ruled out of the match. Shewag is also not completely fit to play the 2nd test against England. We have to wait and see whom India will select as the 3rd seamer

England Vs India 1st Test:

England Vs India 1st test match starts from 21st July 2011 and ends on 25th July 2011 if it played 5 days, match in played at one among the greatest test cricket venues Lords in London. This match is going to remain in history as it is 2000th Test match.

The 1st test match between India and England got great importance in Cricket test world, because this will be 2000 test match. Dhoni World Cup 2011 Bat Auction London – Sold for 72 lakhs

Dhoni World Cup 2011 Bat – Sold for 72 lakhs in Auction

The bat used by Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni in ICC cricket world cup 2011 final match against Sri Lanka was kept for auction in London. That was the bat using which Dhoni hits a Six for getting winning runs for India and helped India to win their second world cup after 1983.

ICC Cricket world cup 2011 final match won by Indians with six wickets in hand on April 2nd 2011, which brought smiles on millions of Indian cricket fans.

In auction the bat was sold for whooping 72 lakhs which was bought by Indian investment group R K Global.

Dhoni idea behind the auction was to raise the money for Sakshi Foundation which is run by Dhoni's wife Sakshi. Sakshi started this foundation in India in March last year.

This Sakshi Foundation helps t cricket flourish in areas where children hail from poor socio-economic backgrounds

Indian Test Team for England Tour:

As excepted the Indian test squad for England Vs India test series is a mixture of both experience and in experience players. All the big guns that missed out the India Vs West Indies tour for various reasons are back for India Vs England test series which is going to start from July 21st.

Indian selector selected the India Vs England team on Saturday i.e 2nd july 2011. Were they included all the experience players like Sachin, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Sachin Tendulkar, Zaheer Khan, Sreesanth, Munaf Patel.

From the on going series the players like Suresh Raina, Abhinav Mukund, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Ishant Sharma, Praveen Kumar for their good performance in series with West Indies have made their places in test squad against England.


Dhoni will be the captain and Gautam Gambhir will be the Vice Captain for England Vs India test Series.
