Shahid Afridi Say’s Good Bye to International Cricket

Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi announced his retirement from international cricket. The reason said by him for sudden retirement from international cricket is that he was humiliated by the Pakistan cricket board (PCB). 

 "There is nothing bigger than a man's respect, and the way the board has treated me, there is a limit to everything," an emotional, angry Afridi told Geo TV from London"

Recently he was removed as captain for ODI. He said that will not like to play under the present Pakistan cricket board. Shahid Afridi also said that if the cricket board changes he may rethink about his retirement from International cricket.

Due to the addition of two extra teams and change in the draws of the IPL season 4 they also changed structure of Finals qualifiers, instead of having quarter finals, semifinal matches for deciding the Final contenders.

IPL governing body introducing the new structure were the top two teams in IPL twenty20 2011 will have a qualifier match were the Winner will directly move to IPL 2011 Finals. Australian team on among the best right arm leg break spinner was Shane Warne. One of the greatest cricketers of Australia.  Shane Warne full name is Shane Keith Warne,


His actual name is Shane Keith Wane.He was born on 13th September 1969. Shane Warner is one of the best bowlers in the cricket game and a part of the Australian cricket team. Shane Warner was considered to be one of the five wisden cricketers of the century in the year 2000 by experts.Shane Warner is a expertise poker player and also a cricket commenter.

Shane Warner played his test match in the year 2002 and he took about 700 wickets in that series.That was a record and no bowler took so many wickets in the test series.That  record was broken by the srilanka’s captain Muttiah Muralitharan on 2007 3rd september.H e took around 1000 wickets and broke the shane’s record.After Muttiah Muralitharan he is considered to be the best bowler.He is also a batsaman and scored around 3000 runs in the test series.Without a century  those are considered to be  the best runs.

Along with Australia Shane Warner also played the domestic cricket for his town Victoria and another cricket for Hampshire.He also worked as a camptain for the team from 2005-2007.

Sri Lanka Premier League 2011 Time Table | SLPL Fixtures | SLPL Schedule

The first season of Sri Lanka Premier league 2011 will starts from July 19th 2011 and ends at August 4th 2011.

All the matches of SLPL 2011 will be played at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. Their will be total of 24 matches, 21 league matches, 2 semi final matches and 1 SLPL 2011 Final.

The SLPL 2011 final will be played on 4th August 2011 at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. The first match of SLPL 2011 is between Basnahira Bears v Kandurata Kites and followed by Nagenahira Nagas v Ruhuna Rhinos. On 13th May 2011 Indian cricket selectors selected the team for West Indies tour, as we all know the senior players will be out of this series, that was difficult for the selectors to select the team.

Gambhir was selected as the captain for the ODI series in West Indies, S Badrinath, Rohit Sharma, Parthiv Patel (wk), R Ashwin, Praveen Kumar, Ishant Sharma, Vinay Kumar, Amit Mishra, Wriddhiman Saha (wk) got the chance to play in West Indies.

Indian selectors are going  to face the tough job in selecting the Indian ODI team for the tour of West Indies because some of the senior players are not going to take part in the West Indies ODI series.

Indian tour of West Indies starts from June 4th 2011 to July 10th 2011. India will play 1 T20 match, 5 Odi matches and 3 test matches.

Indian selectors have to select the ODI team for the West Indies tours, they are going to meet for the 1st time after ICC cricket world cup 2011.

Players like Sachin Tendulkar, Zaheer, Sehwag and Nehra may be Dhoni are going to miss the series, the young players will get the chance to play the ODI series between Indian and West Indies.

Players like Ambati Rayudu, Manoj Tiwar, S Badrinath and Rohit Sharma may be selectors choice for the batting and Pragyan Ojha, Amit Mishra, Ravindra Jadeja and Rahul Sharma will be their options for spinners. Praveen Kumar for the fast bowling option along with munaf and others.

Sri Lanka Premier League 2011 | SLPL 2011 Schedule | Time Table

Sri Lanka Premier League 2011

Sri Lanka cricket board going to starts their own twenty20 format tournament as “Sri Lanka Premier League”. SLPL 2011 will be their first season. Seven teams will be participating in Sri Lanka premier league (SLPL 2011). The Sri Lanka Premier League will be conducted for 18 days in the end of July 2011 and starting week of August 2011.

In SLPL 2011 each team will play with the other team once, and the first four will qualify for the semi finals.

All the match of Sri Lanka premier league will be played R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The winner of the Sri Lanka Premier League 2011 will be qualifying for Champions League Twenty20 2011.

The seven places of Sri Lanka which will represent the SLPL 2011 teams are Basnahira, Kandurata, Nagenahira, Ruhuna, Uthura, Uva and Wayamba.

The players for the seven teams of Sri Lanka Premier League 2011 will be selected by Sri Lanka cricket board; the teams will be the mixture of both local and international players.

Each team in Sri Lanka Premier League 2011 will consists of 16 to 18 players. International players can also participate in SPL 2011
