Indian Cricket Journey towards ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Australia 2020


Do not disturb!

Indian cricket fans will be busy for the next one and half month watching their favorite cricket players playing continues cricket. Because, Indian Men cricket team going to play 3 International cricket series for the next one and half month, two series at home and one in New Zealand.

Indian cricket team are concentrating more on playing T20 international matches as it helps them to prepare for the Mega tournament in the year-end i.e ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2020 in Australia. 

These series also help the Indian selectors and Captain Virat Kholi to experiment few new players and get ready to prepare a strong team for ICC Men’s T20 World cup 2020.

For the very first time, Indian team going to play five T20 International matches, three ODI and 2 Test matches during Indian tour of New Zealand. In the next one and half month India going to play 11 T20 International matches, 3 One Day International matches and 2 International test matches.

Date: 24th Jan 2020 to 29th Feb 2020

India Vs Sri Lanka T20 International Cricket Series (Ind vs SL Online Scores) - January 5th

Good News for Indian and Sri Lanka Cricket fans, as we have a Sri Lanka tour of India cricket series coming soon in the new year 2020, 5th January 2020.

Indian cricket team, starts their new year schedule, by playing 3 T20 International with Sri Lanka from 5th January 2020 to 10th January 2020.

India vs Sri Lanka 1st T20 International Match:

Date: 01/05/2020
Stadium: Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati
Place: Guwahati

All set for 1st T20 International for the year 2020 for both India & Sri Lanka. All eyes on the performance of Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah after come back to Indian squad. The match will be start at 7:00 PM Indian local time at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati.

India lost one, drawn one and won 3 series in their 5 T20 International appearances. They lost to Australia with 2-0 and drawn the series with South Africa with 1-1 and Won the series with USA/West Indies (3-0), Bangladesh (2-1) and most recently West Indies (2-1).

On other hand, Sri Lank had a poor performance in their last 5 T20 internationals appearance. They won only one and last in 4 T20 internationals. They lost to New Zealand twice (1-0) and (2-1) and one to South Africa (3-0) and last series against Australia (3-0). The only one they won was against Pakistan (3-0).

But we can't take the Sri Lanka that easy, even though their past performance is not so good. As they're aware and very much used to the Indian conditions.

Shardul Thakur was awarded with Player of the Match because of his important innings in the end made India to cross 200. He made 22 Runs in 8 Balls which include 1 Four and 2 Sixes and in the second innings he has taken 2 wickets in 3 overs by giving away 19 runs.

India won the match by 78 Runs.

Indian won the T20 International series against Sri Lanka by 2 - 0
