New Zealand vs India ODI Cricket Series

Words of Daniel Vettori after the 4th ODI: "I think we bowled a little bit better than we have, but it wasn't good enough to compete against him [Sehwag]," Vettori said after the last match. "It was just poor execution, and I don't think there is any excuse for the performance."

Words of John Wright former Indian Coach: "He (Gary Kirsten) is very thoughtful and very passionate and I think he understands the importance and the privilege of coaching India,"

New Zealand Cricket Board selected the Test squad for Test series between India and New Zealand. Brent Arnel the Northern districts fast bowler included in the test squad by seeing his performance over England Lions. Martin Guptill the batsman is included in the test squad by his good performance in ODI series with India. Another player James Franklin is included in test squad as an All Rounder.

After selection to test squad words from Guptill to Media

"I have looked forward to this for years," he said. "It's gonna be a bit difficult but I think I look forward to the challenge. It's gonna be a great opportunity to be playing all three forms of game for New Zealand. I had targeted the one-dayers first, and I got there, so I am really happy with that. And now the Tests and I am really looking forward to them."

First Test squad: Daniel Vettori (Capt.), Brent Arnel, Daniel Flynn, James Franklin, Martin Guptill, Tim McIntosh, Brendon McCullum (wk), Chris Martin, Kyle Mills, Iain O'Brien, Jeetan Patel, Jesse Ryder, Ross Taylor.

South Africa vs Australia

Words for South Africa coach Mickey Arthur after SA losing the test series with Australia "This is not a train smash," Arthur said. "Now is a time for cool heads. We have to think clearly and rationally in terms of strategy and reflect on our recent performances and how we can improve on them. It sets you back a little in the immediate term. But in the long-term, I think it might actually do us some good. This will force players to sit down, reflect and focus. We must now dig deep, and that goes for everyone, including Graeme (Smith) and myself.

"Things have been hunky-dory for ten or so series and two years. Players like Morne Morkel, Paul Harris and even Hashim Amla and Dale Steyn have never really felt what it's like to lose a Test series. As strong as any cricketer is, I think they have to know that pain of losing to be complete. It is a real driving force for the great players. The nucleus of our squad is still there, and it's a very strong one. I think we will bounce back from this in the not too distant future."

Michael Clarke, Brad Haddin (wk), David Warner, Ricky Ponting (Capt.), David Hussey, Michael Hussey, Adam Voges, Cameron White, Callum Ferguson, James Hopes, Mitchell Johnson, Nathan Bracken, Nathan Hauritz, Ben Laughlin, Brett Geeves, Shane Harwood
