DLF Indian Premier League 2009 going to be held in South Africa from April 18th 2009. The decision was taken by the IPL commissioner Lalit Modi after the meeting between DLF IPL panel and Cricket South Africa (CSA) chief executive, Gerald Majola, in Johannesburg on Tuesday.
Words said by Lalit Modi during the meeting “The South African public loves Twenty20 cricket and CSA successfully hosted the inaugural World Twenty20," Modi said. "Both these factors weighed heavily in South Africa's favors, and we look forward to a successful and exciting tournament being held at venues throughout South Africa”
